Morning all!
Has anyone tried the single-adjustable Nitron rear shock (Sport?) for the Raptor 1000? If so, I have a couple of questions: -
1, What do you use the bike for? (commute through London, single-track back-lane fun, trackdays, motorway touring etc.?)
2, What do you think of it?
It seems like the nicest of the sub-£300 bunch, but I'd like a few opinions before I part with the cash...
Cheers,
Coose

ME
I HAVE ONE!!
Put about 8,000miles on it so far. Still feels as fresh as a daisy
And if it's good enough for Performance Bike magazine to use, then it's good enough for me!
Ok, they use the top of the range model, but apart from the remote adjuster etc the main body seems the same
The only problem with the shock, is once it's fitted it's a pain to make any adjustments, you'd need almost child like hands
I use it for
1. The odd commute to work (10 miles)
2 The odd ride to the cat and fiddle (15-20 miles...)
3. The odd trip to the Trafford centre (15miles)
4. Most seeing my misses (6 miles)
So for price+gain=
Seems like a good deal

I got one of the £400 ones with preload/damping and ride height adjustments, still playing with set up at the moment but feels really good and well worth it.
I have also fitted Hagon progressive springs in the forks with 5mls more oil per leg.
I use my bike for:-
1)commute,23 miles round trip
2)thrashing round the TT course,37.73 miles per lap
3)going to rallies in England, various distances on motorways/A roads
4)my wife comes with me a lot of the time too
