Speedo sensor - Rear caliper

Post by Frankiesan »

Hello,

I had to replace the rear caliper mounting on the raptor, in doing so I broke the speedo sensor that sits in it.

I'm gonna wager I now need the whole thing including wiring to sort it.

Anyone know where I can source one? Is it specific to the 650 or can I get a thou one?

Advice??

Cheers

The thou one is a pick up on the front sprocket cover so it looks like it`ll have to be the 650 part.
NOTE; bikes do not have air brakes, lofting the front wheel will have an effect on a bikes braking efficiency.
dont arf get the adrenalin pumpin tho!!!

OEM in Holland may have them at a price .
Aprilias use similar sensors, but with slightly different wire outlets, try e bay.
I messed up the end of my sensor pickup where the wires come out and bodged it with some coloured epoxy, it still works!
Stay calm.

OEM as in..

http://www.oemmotorparts.com/oem5.asp?M ... A-RAP-2_BS

That place?

They want £146 for a speedo sensor which is exactly the same as the aprilla one with a different connector?? F*(k that!

Found some on Ebay for aprillia that are less that £40.... Good job my bro's a sparky and can replace the connectors ;) here's hoping.
