Time to go the whole hog, and build your own engine. If it was small-scale manufacture, then it shouldn't be a problem.
Now where did I put those RSV500 plans.....

How about something like a single? Weirdo seems to think it may fit once airbox has been removed

Re: What engine would you choose?
Yep, a single should fit in, the rotax motors they put in the BMW F650 and Aprilla Pegaso did cross my mind, can anyone think of a bigger single cylinder engine than that? Even a horizontally opposed twin/four would possibly, but they're all shaft drives, could convert it to a chain drive though. Wouldn't mind a Guzzi 650 engine, but an east-west twin would never work. Another big issue is getting the engine centred in the frame and the output sprocket lined up with the rear sprocket.

would raptor 650 ecu work wuth a tl1000 engine?
slix2110 wrote:How about a ktm 990 lump? Having said that, an rsv mille V2 would work, but why not just tune the devil you know rather than faffing around with new ecu, exhausts and wiring etc? I believe the tl lump is pretty bombproof.....

I think you would need the ECU from the 1000 to work with it.
