looking to fit one to the rap so have searched about on here but need an definitive answer as to whether any TL1000 one will fit and work and the same for the SV1000?

Anyone know for sure what works?

Seems a bit cheap to me. I was once going to put something like this on 1 of my cars but a couple mates advised me not too. It was gonna cost about £90 when a proper mapping was gonna cost about £400! If it was a local company to me I would be tempted. Suppose you get what you pay for.

Have done a bit of digging on the ebay item and it just plugs in place of the IAT sensor (air temp in airbox) and then makes your ecu think the temp is differant to get it to change its mapping.

You can dumb it down to improve economy (less power) or go the other way to gain more. I`m just looking to improve the 3k glitch a bit!

just keep your eye on ebay i got one for £90 about a year ago. Dont think i would like to trust anything cheap. And lets face it all the power commander is doing is tweaking the input/output signals.

Mine doesnt seem to have made much difference to the jerky low speed thing.

what map you using Glynn? Tried any others to see if that helps?

At the end of the day thats all that other ebay box is doing by adjusting the IAT signal using the switches on it!

Not really played with it much just stuck it on ,so on a basic map i guess .I basically bought it to try and cure the jerky lower end and it didnt and i havnt got an open pipe so didnt see the need to mess with it.

Could probably lend you it if you fancy having a play, its a pc2 which isnt as user friendly as a 3

I've been using a TL 1000 S power commander for a while now, old PC 2 serial port version, and consider them well worth the investment.

By coincidence, I recently removed it when I had to fit a new Meta alarm when mine died over winter and struggling to replace the PC (absolute pain in the arse finding room) I decided to remove it.

Bad mistake...forgot what a difference it made, the harsh fuelling returned and it was like riding a different bike !!!

I replaced it again yesterday, after an hours struggle to squeeze it in place, and remapped with a TL1000 stage 1 map (stock/aftermarket cans and K&N filter).... went out for a ride, major difference, back to smooth throttle response with no on/off fuelling issues.

Probably totally irrelevant, but when I first got my Rappie I had nasty fuel cut-out problems. I thought this was the dreaded 3000 rpm "issue". Until I adjusted the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) which seems to have cured it (except once, after an unexpected need for full throttle and immediate shut-off on a cool engine – making way for an ambulance, as it happens).

There's a YouTube vid on doing this on a Suzuki. This looks familiar; it's somewhere in there…

Glynn, that loan would be a great use to me to see if it can make much of an improvement. I am watching ebay and the like for a reasonable price one anyway.

Am going to tape up part of the rad anyway just to keep her warmer sooner.
