Big Decisions
Big Decisions
Have been told by work this week I have to go on a 2 week training course at "Head Office" in July, will only need my laptop and clothes for the 2 weeks, so here's the question...
Do I sit back and let work organise the flights etc, then park the car at Heathrow (or somewhere similar) for 2 weeks?
Do I "negotiate" with work and take the Xtra, getting work to pay for fuel?
Did I mention, "Head Office" is in Pesaro, Italy. So would have to leave on Sat morning and ride 1250ish miles in 2 days, then same on the way back
Route would be through the tunnel, then through France & Switzerland and into Italy.
Would be good to take the Xtra back to it's roots...

Re: Big Decisions
So very tempting?
You need transport for work once there?
If you can carry enough for 2 weeks on bike i would go for it....... as long as work will pay you mileage of course!

Blooming heck, you don't really need us to tell you!
How's your annual leave looking - if it were me, and I had two weeks spare, I'd be taking one each side of the course....

Road racing's where it's at - going round in circles all day is for hamsters.
Re: Big Decisions
New litter of pups arrives on 1st July, think I;m lucky getting my pass stamped for the extra weekends either end of the course. I'll just make the most of the trip, if I can talk my boss into letting me go..Spyke wrote:Blooming heck, you don't really need us to tell you!

Re: Big Decisions
it would be especially good if you could extend it to have a lazy trip there and back. I recommend you start sitting on the edges of bricks to get your arse ready for hours in the seat.

I am not an alcoholic, alcoholics go to meetings. I am a drunk, we go to parties.

Nuff said, lots of things would be nice/great, but we have to go with whats on offer....
Re: Big Decisions
Work have decided that it's too far/risky and it would be dodgy on their travel insurance if I had a bump, so they are not letting me do it.

Shame, maybe your working too hard and need a holiday, make some contacts while you are there and maybe get free accomodation.
