Rear shock removal

Post by keithy »

According to the manual to remove the rear shock you have to remove the silencers, But the down pipe is in the way, does it also have to he removed ? Because the allen bolt securing it seems to be stripped ?
Thanks in advance K

Hi Keith the downpipe does not need removing for the shock removal, only if your taking out the swingarm. A good 14mm rachet ring spanner is a great help for the top bolt, as there aint a lot of room in there!
Hope that helps

your triangles are not standard. some shortarses even lowered the seat height with different ones. search the site using the word triangles or bikefarm for more information.
