Hey Chris, hope all is well with you and the UKBEGgers!!!

No promises as yet but will put the date in my diary and see what happens. So why the change to end of season?

We had our annual Raptor meet there last month, great weather and lots of fun as always!

We're fine thanks and still as busy as ever.

This year's move to October 1st came about because of other events that clashed with Spring Bank Monday and we couldn't get a Saturday in July with the Lancaster running. Although late in the season we're hoping for good settled weather - thermals may be required though!! :happyhappy:

Always preferred it in July. The May Bank Holiday is awkward for myself, and October is too late in the year as I'm already out of baby sitting tokens with other stuff already in place throughout September and October.

Ooh, this would have been interesting, other than the blessed aircraft (horrid things). If I get decent weather I may pop along for a camp. I need to trial some new routes.

Yesterday we visited the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre (LAHC) to confirm the final arrangements for next Saturday’s event.

Regulars will be familiar with how we run the event but it’s worth repeating the main points for the benefit of new visitors.

When you arrive at the Aviation Centre all motorcycles will be directed to a separate entrance around the back of the main hanger where Jane and I will be located. The entrance fee is £7.00 per adult for motorcycle riders and pillions. Please try to have the correct money when you arrive. This helps us on the gate and speeds up your entrance to the event.

If you have a pre-booked ticket for the Johnny Johnson Dambusters event you can present it to us at the motorcycle entrance.

If you’re not coming on two-wheels then you’ll have to park in the normal public car park. It’s a bit of a trek on foot around to the motorcycle entrance but only admission money collected by Jane and I will help to raise funds for Emma’s Charity.

LAHC location and event web page: here

Event timetable:
10.30am-12.30pm: Aces High/Johnny Johnson signing
11.00am: Avro Lancaster taxi-run
12.30pm: Avro Lancaster taxi-run
2.00pm-2.40pm: Johnny Johnson lecture
3.00pm-4.00pm: Aces High/Johnny Johnson signing if required
4pm: Avro Lancaster taxi-run
