Engine genuine HT paint
Hi Guys!
I'm currently cleaning my raptor 1000 engine from the old black paint I spary on it a few year ago, and unfortunately, I also remove the genuine paint......
Does anybody know the exact paint code for the cylinder?
This is a very light mat brass color on all the motor , exept the silver on the side parts.
I will post some picture later,if it can help.
Here is the parts I want to get paint, with the genuine color:

Do a search for "raptor colour names" there was a thread with lots of paint codes listed

Yes, I saw this post:
http://www.raptorchapter.org.uk/viewtop ... sso#p11905
But it only deals with frame and body paint, there is no mention of engine paint code.

Re: Engine genuine HT paint
I made some research this week end, and it seems the correct color is a matt RAL 7048 (Pearl Mouse Grey)
I found a french website (spriod.fr) that can realise HT paint with specific RAL, for less than 20€ per can.
I 'm now waiting for their answer, and continue my cleaning!

Is it a Suzuki colour? coz my engine & my mates DL1000 V-Strom's engine look the same colour.
Cheers,

Re: Engine genuine HT paint
I think so, don't have any proof of that, but I strongly suspect that it is the same color (on pictures I saw, it really seem to be)
cagiva raptor:
TL1000R:
On both engine, all the parts except the lateral carters seem to be in a light brass grey paint.
It is obvious on pictures I took of my bike before painting it in black that there is two differente shade of grey on the motor.
On Sv1000 and recent vstrom, all the motor seem to be all classic grey:
SV1000:
V strom 1000:
My conclusion is that this is a genuine suzuki color, for old version of suzuki V2 engine (TLR, TLS, RPATOR) . The newest one (SV, V strom) are all metallic grey.

I've always thought that once you go black, you never come back.
