number plate bulb replacement
number plate bulb replacement
MOT due, need to replace numberplate bulb. tried to gently remove clear panel, seems stuck fast. tried to remove unit by undoing 8 mil bolts from inside mudgard but wires not long enough to allow me to pull it forward. just thought i would ask before trying to remove clear panel again.

Not been there yet, but would put money on the clear section being bonded to the housing and not being removable/replaceable. There have got to be some connectors adjacent!

Re: number plate bulb replacement
Just nipped out to the garage and although I didn't try it looks to me the bulb is mounted in a rubber 'bung' that pulls out from the back of the unit.
I would have also thought the wires do have bullet connectors on them and these should be a couple of the half dozen or so tucked into the top & corner of the mudguard right next to the ECU.
