Fuel pump assembly

Post by MattD »

Hi all,

I've been having fueling problems, and it seems the fuel pump assembly has rusted out. Can anyone tell me if the Suzuki TL1000 fuel pump assembly - part number 15100-02F00 - is a straight swap for the Cagiva assembly? There's plenty of fuel pumps available on ebay, but very few of the whole unit...

Cheers,

Matt.

It's the same.
But I wouldn't change the whole unit.
I had severe fuelling problems with my 650ie.
I bought a couple of low pressure filters for Suzuki GSXR from ebay and replaced the stock one and cleaned the high pressure filter with lots of carburettor cleaner. That worked for a couple of thousand kms every time but to get rid of the problem once and for all I bypassed the integrated high pressure filter which can't be removed and installed an external one on the fuel line, just before the fuel injectors. That's a common mod done on the V-Strom so some googling will show what to do.It's an easy and cheap mod and really useful. Now when the filter clogs,it's piece of cake to change it.
