Folembray 11-06-2007
phew,
noise restrictions are everywhere now man, only Francorchamps and a couple of 'free noise' days in Zolder, and that's about it.
I've been on:
- Lelystad (police-track, pretty fun, tight, technical)
- Croix en Ternois: tight, small, stop-and-go track, not flowing, i didn't like it, probably because i crashed there
- Folembray: very small, but still it has all the corners you need, very lazy atmosphere, very much fun, very cheap too
- Zolder: a track for real men awesome experience, but not as good as...
...Spa-Francorchamps! Most beautiful track in the world, very fast, but some nice slow stuff too. If you want to kneedown at 220kph (Blanchimont), or get projected out of your seat at the top of the radillion, this is the place to go I absolutely loved it. Very nice 'flow', very smooth, open, wide, etc...beautiful.
Of course, there's the nurburgring, but that's not a track where you can go 100%. Too dangerous, and too much idiots around you. Amazing track though
cheers
Jan
PS here's another top moment in cartoon history:
Our country reeks of trees
Our Yaks are really large
And they smell like rotting beef carcasses
And we have to clean up after them
And our saddle sores are the best
We proudly wear women's clothing
As searing sand blows up our skirts
And the buzzards, they soar overhead
And poisonous snakes will devour us whole
Our bones will bleach in the sun
And we will probably go to (loud farting noise)
And that is our great reward
For being the-uh Ro-oy-al Canadian Kilted Yaksmen!

good one that jan!!
Really takes me back!
So I should try spa as well you think ?
Been around there (ardennes , malmedy ,stavelot, la roche)a few times and really like it there, but is that track not too fast for the rap? seen some very long straights with very fast corners there
Never ever really thought of lelystad to be honest, good tip!
So there's going to be a lot of tracks on my wish list for next year
Till now I've only been to zandvoort because it's a 25 min ride from home
and I'm a bit new at this trackday thing (3rd year)
I'm now getting the hang of it a bit so it would be nice to try something different.
cheers dennis

No bike is ever finished!
hey dennis,
i think you should try Spa for sure
i'm going there probably 3 oktober this year. (francorama, Meca Events)
135 EUR
i'm a bit 'scared' too for the high speeds on the rap, but i think it should be doable. Only one real straight, where you can reach around 240kph...and i've done that already on the rap, so...
cheers, jan

Don't think I can make it this year though , don't think I can raise the funds before october , got 2 more days at zandvoort.
But next season I DEFENITLY want to go there maybe even before I do assen.
Jan, do they have many trackdays for bikes there ?
We could start a new topic about this and see who else likes to come, and really make this a raptor happening YEEHAH
Jan ,Craftycat, let me know what you think

Oi!! You won't be watching Madam!!! You'll be out there with us!! Can't say I'll be anywhere near good at riding on a track but I would love to give it a go and hope those that are good will be happy to encourage us debutants!!!
Game on!!!
Oh... by the way... how much does it cost!! ( should really take that into account!!!!)
