F1 trouble

Post by craigus »

hi all, ive been having trouble with the bike lately ,first i was getting loss of power around the 7000rpm mark but this was only happening when the engine was warmed up & gets worse as the engine gets hotter ,so i changed the plugs & thought id check the wires to the coils ,they were a little loose & a bit green so i crimped them up a bit & sprayed them with WD40 . Now the F1 light comes on & has got about as much go as a honda clonk, does anyone know whats happening to my baby?

I recently had the same problem whilst on a trip to ireland. Whilst in the dry,Cutting out, dying, picking back up, dying, picking back up, no power, full power  trying to overtake some old granny. One of my mechanically minded mates noticed that the oil was low and put about half a pint in the engine. Ran sweet as a nut since.
I have heard that honda make generators with a low oil level cut-out switch, maybe cagiva have done the same....dunno
