Front Brake Issues (again)

Post by TimO »

Is it me!!

I fitted new calipers less than a year ago, I've kept them clean, although I don't use aerosol brake cleaners as I've been told that these dry out the seals. The brake fluid is changed regularly.
But for the second time on these calipers the pistons are sticking again, last time I serviced the bike I applied some red silicone grease to the seals and pistons, seemed to work for a while, but they've started to stick again this week
I can't believe that I have to do this on such a regular basis, or do I :?:

Any thoughts

i clean the calipers after every winter, and they still work ok-ish. All pistons still slide, but not that freely anymore. Winter salt is the worst for calipers.

I do use aerosol brake cleaners though ;)
