Exhausts for the 650

Post by Magnum »

Hi!
I have been searching this forum and the web to find some alternative cans. I am not into high pipes, just louder!
So far I only found the G&G´s
Does anybody have any other suggestions?

Cheers!

Firstly I have to give my esteem to G&G. First class service.
Only drawback was that the only payment option was bank transfer.
It was less than two weeks from order to delivery.
They arrived yesterday, nicely packed and in spotless condition.
Fitting was perfect and the best part was the sound
Even with the db killers on the sound was massive
It was a hughe difference compared with the stock mufflers
I don´t know if I dare to take the db killers out it might wreck my bike shed :D :D :D :D
I can really recomend these cans, alot nicer sound then the race Lazer I had on my VFR.
Here´s how they look on the bike

Now even I the Raptor virgin have a big grin on my face :D :D :D

I think they look amazing, and are a much better colour match for the frame etc than the originals even. As for the sound - can't wait to hear Rappy Jnr's roar first hand, as soon as my own set of high pipes arrive. :D 8)

They are really worth waiting for. Lovely sound!
I´m still doing my running in. But when I´m done. I will take out the db killer and then
Good luck with the cans.

The G&Gs are top notch. I went for the high mounts, which pop/bang like mad on the over run. Even though she drinks more than she used to, I love it!

Not brave enough to take out the db killers though, as the neighbours already complain about the noise with them in! Would be intersted to see if you can feel (as well as hear) any difference though.

i love the G&G's as well.

no difference in 'feel' when you remove the baffles, but you will deffo 'hear' a difference...

I disagree :o , I definetly feel a difference after removing the db killers.
It´s alot smoother running in the low and mid revs.

Maybe the difference is less without a TRE?

But with it,It is a noticeble differnce.

About the noise yes it is wounderful. I even got a positive comment at the gas station from a fellow biker.

But it feels a little emberessing  in front of neighbours or around town, but maybe thats just me or my age

Hi Magnum, I am looking into a set of G&G cans, have been quoted £475.20 for the Titanium cans - are they the Titanium can's shown in the pic above?

I was looking at getting them in Carbon but they aren't available :(

I opted for Titanium one's and am really chuffed... Not only do they look cool (as above) and sound great, each can is about 2kg lighter than the originals.
