Rear paddock stand

Post by raptor001 »

Hi there,

Could anyone recommend a rear paddock stand for a Vrap 650? Would I have to install anything onto my swing arm? Would any generic rear paddock stand do? Many thanks!

I use an Anderson bike stand, made here in Australia.
Since there is no place on the Raptor to instal bobbins, a la Jappa sportbikes, I use the generic pads that should also come with any new paddock stand.

Another way that I have considered is to make up a rod with the bobbins attached and pass this through the rear axle when I want to use the stand.
I haven't done this yet.... the current 'generic' setup works just fine.

Hope this helps.

I also use a generic stand. Works just fine!
Be careful with the speedo sensor close to the rear brake caliper.

Cheers!

I have a cheapo from M&P (norraclue as to the make - it's dark outside), works fine with the thou - though generally I use the 'spikes through the axle' rather than the cups - works easier for me that way round

That's great advice. Take it from someone who cracked the casing on theirs, meaning it won't work when it gets wet.
