Radiator Hoses and Mushrooms

I have found a local hose manufacturer and am working with him to make a former and then he will be able to make a lower rad hose that will avoid the mushroom without stressing the rad mounts, will keep you posted of my progress, once sorted he will be able to make silicone hoses in various colours.

Sounds good. Would be interested to see how this works out and how much it would work out costing. Any idea on how long away it might be?

not had any problems - but silicone hoses sounds good

On mine I moved the radiator forwards at the bottom using a bracket from the engine to the rad mount.
The hoses are now "relaxed" and just clear the mushroom.

Job sorted.
