What to do on a rainy day?
I can't believe how much rain we've had today. It was raining at 6.30 this morning when I woke up to watch the moto gp. and it eventually stopped at 4.30 this afternoon. I've not wasted today though - went into the garage, Helicoiled the rear caliper bracket, fitted the front hoses that i've been meaning to fit all summer, extracted a sheared off bleed nipple from one of the front calipers and replaced both front ones with stainless steel items. Brakes are all bled up and feeling good - just need some nice weather now so I can test them. That gp race was brilliant on the last couple of laps - nice to see Rossi giving his team mate a hand to win the title this year . I reckon they should make all the races 5 laps long.

Or come to Darwin. We get no rain at all rain from April to October, and when it does rain (from November to March) it's really warm and interesting (though once or twice city-levelling) rain. All the critters come out - frogs, snakes, insects etc - and the place turns *green*. Yup, it's great rain we have here.

I went to Squires yesterday. Mind you, I was in the car. The weather was bleedin' atrocious. It was raining hard when we left, and just got harder and harder all the way there. Anyway, it meant that there weren't so many pillocks on the road or when we got there, so it was actually quite enjoyable. Didn't have to wait so long for a burger either.
I then went on to a mate's house near Selby where I looked at his bike. And that was about as bikey as it got for me!
