Not a 650 but I've just come back from europe on my 1000 and on the autobahns at 85-95 with a load of luggage on the back I was putting 9.9 near enough 10 litresfor 100 miles. which works out at 45 mpg. That is cruising so not a lot of hard acceleration.
Normal solo riding about in the uk is 33mpg.
Thats with standard exhaust and K and N air filter. Powercommander removed.
I would have thought that with sensible riding a 650 should return better than 45 mpg.

With standard exhausts and riding on the highway with 140-150 km/h the orange light comes on after about 190 kms...i have seen 220 kms before the orange light when riding below 120 km/h. That is with a 650ie 2008.
It's all greek to me....
