Hi Everyone! Raptor Newbe Here!

Post by Ethen996 »

Hi,

My names Ethen im 21 from thetford in norfolk.

Recently got my self a raptor 1000, first italian bike ive owned as ive always been into my gixxa's and other suzuki's and yamaha's ect.

I have only rode my raptor once as the first time i rode it i hit diesel at about 100mph lol...so the bike aint pretty no more and is in bits and im in the process of building her agian which is always good fun! but i did walk away some how so thats an upside.

Ive got some parts already from a current Raptorchapter member so it should be back on the road sooner then i had intended.

Anyway i look foward to seeing what this forum has to offer and look foward to getting to know you all.

P.S feel free to call me by my nickname if you wish as it is much more humorous. (Fanny)

hi thanks...erm i still need one of them internal top hat nuts for the front wheel spindle or maybe known as a Threaded spacer? according to OEM cagiva parts list...lol that is the main part on my list atm anyway...and 2 exhaust ring gaskets/seals? (Standard cans) Have not checked the I.D and O.D on them yet.. got mainly everything else i need that i can think of tho (i could be wrong) mainly cosmetic repairs left now that need doing at some point by myself. :)

Oh i may be after a second hand aftermarket can setup in time...but may end up buying a new set.

Hi Fanny.

Sorry to hear about the prang; hope you get everything fixed soon. I see you binned the Rap on your first ride. Was it actually your bike on this first ride or were you obliged to buy it because you trashed somebody else's? If so, fate's smiled on you - you've got a really good bike.
