Doesn't start - Raptor 1000

Hey

Yesterday I was driving without any problems, today I pulled Raptor from the garage
switched ignition and then the red button - started to crank and it's cranking
but doesn't fire up. Tried several times without any result, crank but doesn't fire up.

What I should check? The fuses are all OK.

Hi any messages on the speedo?... other wise usual suspects - side stand switch, clutch switch, kill switch and 1st most likely dying battery - even if it cranks over sometimes there is not enough spark for it to fire up. HTH

No messages on the speed, when I turn the ignition set the red button on RUN - it displays only temperature 22 celcius nothing else.

Is the side stand switch and clutch imporatant even if it's on neutral and the STARTER TURNS the motor??
Kill switch - the one with red button?

I'm charging the battery now.

I checked the spark - there is a spark when cranking.

When you turn the ignition on, do you hear the fuel pump for a second or two?

I only hear the relay, unplugged the fuel pipe to the rail, when I turn ignition and click run - the
relay click for few seconds but no fuel at the end of pipe.

Guess it's pump?

That depends on whether the clicking relay is sending any power to the pump, so I would be checking that first, and then maybe connecting the pump direct to a battery to see if it runs.

Also, I seem to remember that there is a tilt sensor that can cut the fuel pump (although that would probably stop the relay from operating).

Tomorrow I'm going to connect it directly to the battery - orange and black/blue wires.

I see most of cars have similar pump.

What is Raptor 1000 working pressure? 43 PSI? The car pumps got 3 bars pressure it's around 43 psi.

the suzuki is 41psi and there is a seperate fuse that feeds the pump and injectors. does the temp light switch on and off and fi shown on speedo(if so you have an error)

I checked the fuel pump it doesn't start, I "bang" it several times and it started running
every time also it droped some dirt from it. There were a lot of rust in the fuel pump assembly,
I cleaned it a bit, put all together and I'm going to give it a try in about a hour.
Hope it gonna start and work till winter.

The pump mounted is Mitsubishi UTC-30 or something, I guess it's from TL.

The bike started with the old pump but it runed rough,
it couldn't get up from low revs and was running like an old whore.
I guess the pressure is too low, what you think?

If you think its just dirt and no good as is ,then try blowing compressed air backwards through it youve nothing to lose. there should be a nylon strainer on inlet to pump which should trap large pieces of dirt and after is the canister filter you could reverse blow through this aswell. Good luck

I mounted new pump from some Ford car (20 euro, 3 bar output pressure), had to change the plug.
It was cleaned (the old one) but doesn't worked well I mean the pump was working
but when you rev the rpm higher it started to choke.

In about hour I'm gonna give a try the new pump when I put all things back together.

The Raptor seems to be alive again! Have to test it on the road tomorrow or day after tomorrow .

The pump is a bit smaller about 0,5-1 cm shorter and got other plug and the back is a bit different.







There is missing a black coat on the picture.
