Hello everyone
Hello everyone
Not a new member, but I've been away for a long while, working in Japan.
Back now, and still the proud owner of the first Xtra-Raptor to arrive in the UK, many, many years ago now - no. 133. Only 15,000 miles still on the clock, but it could do with a bit of TLC. I need to replace a few parts, so who is a good Cagiva rep in this country now?
Anyway, how is everyone?

Re: Hello everyone
wahhh blardy hayyyy welcome back in Oaf good to see you again
depends which parts you need mate, I'm still using mainly suzuki spares where I need 'em, there is a Cagiva shop in Wiltshire (up by Demonbaker's I think) they seem to look after the smaller bikes but they are a dealer so should be able to help.
Crescent are still there - depending if you're back in the same area
ps and fine thanks for asking, how's yourself? - and mine's a pint

Re: Hello everyone
Welcome back Oaf. So, did you think you were turning Japanese, turning Japanese, did you really think so? (well, someone had to say it)
My Raptor is having a makeover, but it's taking a loooonnnnggg time as I always seem to be at work!
I too need a few "bits" so I would also be happy to be pointed in the right direction for spares.
Anyway, soon be summer . Mines a pint of Doombar please!

Re: Hello everyone
welcome back Oaf!!
So what parts are you needing?
Not a lot of places left still selling parts for these beasts, suzy places for engine/electrics stuff and ebay and the like for the cagiva bits mainly unless you can find a dealer willing to source stuff for you!!!!

Re: Hello everyone
I've just received (Friday) my first consignment from them and can vouch for their integrity.Miz wrote:55 years agoHave a look on here OEM Motorparts, but make sure you have a tight hold on your credit card..
Kept me informed of progress via email and delivered within the quoted period.
So, you can get what you need but, as Miz said, their a bit expensive.
Only use them for really specific parts not available elsewhere.
The site is worth visiting if only for the exploded diagrams.
So many motorcycles, so little money!
Re: Hello everyone
Cheers for the responses everyone... I will definitely be ordering some parts from that site... well, only those that can't be repaired/restored.
Sorry, for not coming back, but literally the day after posting this thread, I had a little accident with my scooter and severed an artery in my leg. Ambulance, pint of blood lost and 9 stitches. The doctor's words, not mine, were, "It's still a bit 'spurty'".
The annoying thing is, I wasn't even riding it at the time, just lifting it onto the pavement, when the centre stand hit my shin and ripped into it. I've been riding "big" bikes for 15 years with nothing more than a bruise, and the worst injury I get is from pushing a 100cc scooter.

NOTE; bikes do not have air brakes, lofting the front wheel will have an effect on a bikes braking efficiency.
