Smart TRE Module on the Raptor 1000
Hi Guys/Girls?
I have just ordered one of these from ebay => http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170385346282? ... 1497.l2649
Should fit no problems, but i'm hoping it will go some way to solving that horrible glitch at part throttle below 6000rpm in the lower gears. Its driving me nuts to the point of i'm seriuosly thinking about selling the thing and getting a Speed Triple or Firestorm. My Honda SP1 never had this issue
So my questions is....... Has anyone fitted one of these? and do they work?
Cheers

welcome in I haven't and wouldn't bother
but then I've had mine for 11 years and don't want a speedtriple or a firestorm
the 3000rmp 'glitch' is all about engine temperature and someone more technical will no doubt explain it , or you could search the forum

As has been said, the tre will improve power in lower gears but the 3k glitch can be fixed for a tenner, just read the thread tps reset and build a black box or let me know and I can make you one.

Fitted it but it hasn't made any noticeable difference to be honest.
If you could let me know the cost of the black box, that would be great Crap Tartan!!!
Cheers.

James, read the thread tps reset and it's a diy box to fool the ecm into thinking the bike is hotter than reality so it keeps it running the leaner map thus getting rid of the 3k glitch.
A tre does a completely different job and is fully explained in other threads.
