Rear sprocket bolts loose
Hi to all. New to this site and owned my v rap for a few months . Quick question , after returning home last night after a short ride I noticed all my bolts are loose on my rear sprocket . I tried doing them up (no joy) and undoing them to check the bolts but couldn't remove them either. I take it there's nuts on the end of these as they won't come out but looking to see how is access them (it was dark) I couldn't see/feel anything . Obviously this puts my bike off the road but any advice you guys could give would be much apreciated . Thanks

Re: Rear sprocket bolts loose
you'll need to remove the sprocket and carrier, cinch the nuts up from the back of the sprocket carrier - torque to 50Nm with loc-tite 243

Sweet gotta say I've not come across or seen many (1) raptors about . Were a rare breed

+1 and welcome . I wish these bikes had rear jack stand locators or bobbins like suzuki's . Most importantly at least cagiva got the motor right !Bubingaboy wrote:55 years agoSweet gotta say I've not come across or seen many (1) raptors about . Were a rare breed
Those sprocket nuts shouldnt come loose as they are self locking.

Re: Rear sprocket bolts loose
Thanks for putting up the pic and the welcome .
I've read that they shouldn't be and common sense is telling me I Proberbly have an underlying problem which could have caused then to loosen. I've read that chain alignment is somthing I should check and perhaps some other stuff too??Any help very much apreciated , I'm going to get the wheel off and have a look over the weekend .

Re: Rear sprocket bolts loose
Your underlying problem will probably be the person who changed the sprocket last time. Clean and re tighten them then keep a check on them.
Re: Rear sprocket bolts loose
+1 Maybe someone tried to loosen the bolts which initially start undoing and then just spin round. Oops too late, cant tight en them back up now. I almost made that mistake when i first got the rap dohMiz wrote:55 years agoYour underlying problem will probably be the person who changed the sprocket last time.
