After reading those articles I'm reminded that there very few compact large capacity sportsbikes, which is a major deal for me. So I'd like to know if you lot are "compact and bijou" as well!

With 1.84 mtr i'm a typical dutch guy. The dutch are some of the tallest people in the world. On long rides my knees feel cramped but for those rides i fit a Hawk aircushion which lifts my ass 2 cm and relaxes my knee angle a bit. For short rides i don't bother, esspecially if it's for a quick blast when i like to move around on the saddle for the corners

I saw some adjustable pegs somewhere , might give an inch or two for those that are cramped ?

You loose the pillon pegs then? My wife likes to come along a couple of times a year.

I'm used to have a bit cramped sittingposition. Even on my previous bike, a 05 R6. Only my Honda Africa Twin was roomy.
My brother is 1.86 and has long legs, he can't fit modern 1000 sportbikes without hitting the fairing with his knees. Watching him on my V Raptor is funny, almost like he is on a minibike. He rides a tuned ZX12R which is big enough for him.

Yeah I remember those pegs looking neat, I was pretty sure they were called "vario", but I can't see much on eBay for them at the moment. YouTube threw up a helpful vid (Admin: the direct embed youtube bit doesn't seem to work today)

They look like handy little blighters, but if you're already scraping pegs on the road you might not want them lowered further!

EDIT: Looks like MFW also do a large selection of Raptor levers, for those with deep pockets, funky!

I'm not short - though I did come out of hospital an inch or so shorter than I went in a few years ago. Seat height is a big issue for me now and was probably the main reason I went for the Rap. I don't have any real issues with ride comfort, even after a full day riding.
