Hello there.
After a wonderful first summer with my V-Raptor 1000 it appears I've fallen victim to the dreaded (?) radiator leak problems. I've searched the forum and found some threads on this, but I thought it was worth asking again: The one replacement radiator I've found is a steep 685 Euros over at oemmotorparts.com. Did any of you Raptor veterans figure out whether there are other radiators that can fit with minimal modifications?
Or even better, does anyone have a working one for sale..? (Apparently, I'm not allowed to post in the classifieds yet).
Thanks from Stockholm, Sweden!

Re: Radiator alternatives
Im not sure if anyone has successfully used an alternative radiator on the raptor without it being a major job.
I managed to get my damaged one repaired (some cosmetic damage and core split) but sent it to a radiator specialist in Kent and came back good as new! In fact 5 years on and its still fine with no leaks.
I bought a good secondhand one as I didnt expect the repair to last but its still lying in a box in my garage. I may be willing to sell to help another raptorite out whose need is greater than mine but it would have to be worthwhile, my giving up a good spare when they are really scarce and expensive.
If you are interested then PM me with an offer and I will give it some thought.

Re: Radiator alternatives
I once saw a ducati radiator at a bike jumble that looked very much like the raptor one - but it was a while ago, and I can't remember which duc it was for

Re: Radiator alternatives
Thanks so much for this. It sounds very much like it's worth going down the reparation route before attempting anything else. Lucky for me this happened right at the end of the season (here in the Nordics) anyway
Thanks again!
Thanks again!
Re: Radiator alternatives
My 650 Raptor sunk on the side stand and dented the radiator, race radiators in Dandenong, Victoria, Australia fixed it, they do great work and it's as good as new. So a quality radiator repair shop can certainly fix them.
I thought or remember somewhere that the Raptor Radiator was actually a KTM part, but some-one would need to confirm this, like wise whether it's just the 650 not the 1000.
