Battery Needed Rappy 1000

Hi guys, my V-rap 1000 needs a new battery; looking on line it seems I need a YTX9 battery - is that right?
From memory the red terminal is on the offside of the bike (right hand side while sitting on it).
A lot of the batteries on eBay have the terminals the other way around though, will this cause me fitting problems?
As always, thanks for your help!

you need a YTX9-BS which has the terminals on the correct side for the Raptor 1000, the +ve one is to the RHS of the bike.

One alternative is to go for a Motobatt AGM unit. They have two sets of two terminals, so a given size will fit a range of bikes with the connections on different sides. I find them excellent, and have them on almost all of my bikes now. A notable exception is the Yuasa sealed battery on a 650 Honda NTV which has performed superbly ever since I got the bike 13 years ago. I've no idea how old it is and it doesn't get used very often, but it doesn't object to inactivity either. They don't make batteries like that any more!

G'day,
I just thought I'd put my two bobs worth in on the subject.
Crap Tartan is correct.
If it's a quality battery you want (forget cheap the crap) buy a Yuasa YTX9-BS.
They are a sealed unit & have excellent cranking power that a big twin needs.
