Greetings from Denmark
At almost half the cost of a comparable Ducati Monster (which is a girls bike really) I am so pleased to be riding the Raptor 650 ie now. Found a pristine 2007 model in standard trim, it just needed new tires (now with Pilot Road 4, my favourite street tire).
I am really impressed with this bike, the engine runs so smooth with no low rev problems and enought grunt to be fun (on public roads at least, I have a 2007 GSXR 750 for the track). I was looking for a much better riding position and after mounting a higher handlebar I fell comfortable for many miles (still considering lowering the footpegs though).

Congrats!
So why is a Monster a girl's bike? Bearing in mind that half of Raptor owners are of the feminine persuasion?
Whatever, if I had garage space, I might follow your lead and bag a 650 too. Not so likely to induce madness as the big thou'!
