At about 72 to 74 degrees my 04 X-Tra Rap decides to entirely miss at below 4000rpm,
open throttle & she goes, down a couple & she goes.
Temp goes above 75 & she is all good
But trying to behave in a 60km/h zone to & from work is a bit of a drama.
No F1 fault shows, disconnected all sensors seperately & there is the F1.
Had injectors professionally serviced- bout 100 kays ago.
Could it be a fuel pump or filter problem (have figured out the TL1000S is exact fitment)
Temp runs to 82-84 riding in traffic & about 86 - 88 stopped for a bit.
Cheers muchly

Re: 72-74 degrees ??????????
It runs fine up to and then past that temp.
Its maybe missing a lil but more like there is nothing there at all.
Can't tell which cylinder is missing, stopped & idle was all good & free revved just fine.
I have just ( coz I could) made a small adjustment to the TPS, hoping that will remove the flat spot at the twist of the throttle.
Since removing from storage, (new fuel, air filter clean, oil & filter) she does backfire & pop a bit out exhaust on decelleration - which I REALLY like

That's usually an indication of a leak in the exhaust system but it does seem a stretch that this would cause the misfire.she does backfire & pop a bit out exhaust on decelleration - which I REALLY like
It does seem strange it only occurs at a particular temperature Could it be the infamous 3k glitch ?

SHE IS FIXED!!!!!
Just got back from the best ride I have ever had on my Raptor.
Adjusted TPS,
Balanced both carbs- they were WAY WAY WWWWWWAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY Off,
Adjusted throttle stop gap, was WAY off
Re-adjusted TPS,
She now is rideable from idle-throttle on to HOLD ON!!
Starts much easier without the choke & the idle soumds even (not missing 2-3 times on rear cylinder)
NO 3K glitch, no snatchiness, just nice torque from idle to hard cut

Hurrah & I throw hats in the air!! & it's always good for your own repairs to have such a noticeable effect.
They are great when they're on song aren't they ?
It does make you wonder whether the 3k glitch is just a case of badly tuned carbs...
Stay upright,
Andy B
