I know some of us have bike footage stashed away, so think of this as a place to put it! :woot:

I'll start, please forgive me though as all of mine predates the Raptor, so your just going to see some ugly old VFR's! :ouch:

Once upon a time, I tried a VFR in Honda anniversary colours, being before the VTEC era. Having seen so many reports that they were the last word in sport-touring bikes, I was rather disappointed by the lack of engine character, mainly attributable to having too many cylinders! Too clinical for my tastes, so I graduated from my Ducati-pantah-powered Cagiva Alazzurra to a full-on Ducati ST4 with the 916 engine. Wonderful! Since then, I've been devoted to vee-twins, plus a few singles and the odd triple. The Raptors are an excellent combination of Italian style and Japanese efficiency, and very satisfying! :)

All good fun, and I'm sure the VFR remains an excellent machine.

Yeah, I have run the full gamut myself, 1,2,3 and 4 cylinders. I had a Benelli TreK 1130 in between the VFR and the Raptor, the triple was a cracking engine and if it had been a TNT I would likely still have it. The riding position though was too upright, I like a bit of forward lean, so the Raptor is my new VFR, but with 20 or so more HP.

I do sometimes still miss the pull of the V4 though, and a bunch of them together sound mournful.

Yes Nick a little bit unfair, although I have only been doing track days since I was 60 (the last 2 years) in my youth i did qualify at my first attempt at the Isle of Man TT in 8th place.

Noice, I have done a few track days, always risky on my only mode of transport though, so much better to have a dedicated bike for it. :notworthy:

I cannot get your links to work.

The trackday thing didn't start for me until December 2019 when i won a trackday for two people in Cartagena in Spain (yes i know Jammie bastard!) I only had an old 600cc Bandit to take with me and shared it with a mate.

I couldn't bring myself to take a road bike, too many other people trying to take you out!

My gallery addy is new, DNS has probably not populated across the pond yet I guess.

Yes Phillip Island is beautiful, I have been there once for MotoGP and once more for Supers.

I raced the Island Classic there when it first started, it is a great circuit, the nearest we have here in the UK is Donnington. Assen and Misano come close not made Mugello!

Big respect Sidrat and it's obviously part of your skill set.

As for me I've always fancied a go at a track day but I know, just know, that by ooo the second corner, my adrenaline and race competitiveness would take me waaayyy beyond any ability I may have...
