Wiring Diagram for Raptor 1000

Hi there,first post and I am asking for help for a mate who is not really internet savvy!

Said mate owns a Raptor thousand,and after returning from our trip to Scotland,has developed an electrical fault.

When he turns on the ignition,one of the relays under the seat starts off clicking quite slowly at first,then the clicking gets faster and faster until it finally "locks" and then the ignition light will iluminate.He has changed the relay but the same thing happens.

Also the headlights will not work.We have checked the battery and that is fully charged.

It has now got to the point where the bike will not start.

We are thinking it may be a bad earth or something,and what we think might help is a wiring diagram,as another mate is an electrician.He is not an auto electrician but its all the same stuff isn't it ?

Can anyone help ?

BTW I have av SV1000S,which as you know has the same engine,so feel a bit of an affinity with you guys !

There's a wiring diagram at the back of the owners manual - does he have that ?

TBH I don't know !

Is this a comprehensive wiring diagram or just an overview ?

His was an import so maybe his does not come with one.

Is there anyway you could copy me one just in case ?

For your information the fault was in a relay but not the one he had already changed.
All fixed now ,apart from the occasional burst of continuously ON indicator,but what the heck ! these are Italian electrics afterall.

excellent thanx a lot

, just another quick question i have noticed that the loom has been molested big time so the plug for my clocks is non existent

, in the diagram it looks like there is a seperate small loom covers the clocks, head light and indicators is this the case

Hi All, Can anyone mail me a copy of the wiring diagram please? I've left my Raptor for a couple of weeks and now have no spark. Plugs work in another bike and I've put the optimiser on to recharge the battery but nothing. bike turns over OK just no spark. Well thats on the rear plug I haven't managed to get the front one out yet but figure it's not sparking as bike doesn't even fire.
