Re: Engine Modifications done by Cagiva
Tested the new TPS and it appears to not be functioning correctly according to the sv manual, it's basically the same as the old one. I haven't checked it with a second multimeter, but I will before I go any further. Did a bit more research into how the TPS works and what it does, and I think it's t...

Re: Engine Modifications done by Cagiva
Tested the TPS according to the Suzuki manual and it has failed. Got the new one today ($130 AUD), but I had a little accident on the weekend with a metal cut off wheel and have a hand out of action, so will be a couple of weeks before I get it fitted and find out if that was the problem. Did a bit ...

Re: Engine Modifications done by Cagiva
I've got the sv650 manual, but thanks mate for the offer  Been meaning to check the TPS, it had slipped my mind. I may of unscrewed it once during a "I wonder what this does" moments. Hope you managed to download a copy of the parts list I posted Pod, you were one person I was th...

Rossi going back to Yamaha
It has been announced that Valentino Rossi is going back to the Yamaha Factory Team next year on a 2 year contract. After all the money Ducati has spent on trying to give him a competitive machine, I am sure they'll be disappointed about it. I would of been curious to see what Casey Stoner would of ...

Re: Engine Modifications done by Cagiva
Not yet mate, think it's a valve adjustment, and that's what the SV650 manual suggests. I have no idea on the mileage because it'd been crashed and had a 1000 speedo on it. The big thing with the fuel is that it sat in the bike shop for over 12 months, I'd watch it on the net for that long before I ...

Re: Exhaust
You'll want to go to an exhaust manufacturer mate, if a garage does it they'll hand gas tungsten arc weld(GTAW, know as tungsten inert gas welding(TIG) in Oz) and the welds with look all lumpy and shitty unless they're "really" good at that type of welding. You need to find some one that h...

Re: Better lighting ideas ?
I'm looking at a set of these so I can see kangaroos better at night, but I recently fitted a mosfet regulator/rectifier to cope with an upgrade. I think they're the best looking twin headlights available. http://www.moorespeedracing.co.uk/motorbike-headlights/bates-motorcycle-headlights-with-clamps...

Re: Exhaust
I've spoken to a local car performance exhaust manufacturer here and he can grind off the welds at each end, and replace the skin for me. He has an automatic tig/gtaw welder so he'll be able to do welds of similar quality to the original ones. I'm looking at getting mine shortened down to just past ...

Doubt very much if it'd fit mate, and the 650 pipes are made to suit. If you see this thread

What that article said: MOTORCYCLIST Gavin Miles was riding only metres in front of his wife Jeannette when she lost control of her bike and plunged to her death at Advancetown in the Gold Coast hinterland yesterday. Her death is the third motorcycle fatality along the notorious Beechmont Rd in just...
