Re: E10 fuel, do we have a problem?
We've had E10 here in Australia for a few years now, run it in my campervan, a 30 year old toyota 18R motor, with no ill effect I've seen, but I'd never put it in my bike  My baby only gets Shell or BP Unleaded. For the money you save you end up losing it in fuel economy and power, a mate has...

Re: Carbon Fibre VRaptor/Raptor bodywork
Thanks for that CT, the price they gave me for postage is 65 Euro, and that's for: key guard, belly pan, side panels, underseat panels, radiator covers and seat cowl. That could be the price to send it by ship though, which is 6 to 8 week wait. I paid 50 Euro to send a new set of gauges by air from I...

Re: Carbon Fibre VRaptor/Raptor bodywork
Has anyone bought parts from Trenditaly http://www.trenditaly.com/cagiva-cagiva-raptor-650-c-46_53_60.html http://www.trenditaly.com/cagiva-cagiva-raptor-650-c-243_298_300.html They're the only place I've seen that sells all the parts I want as well as the radiator covers. Anybody know what the qual...

Re: Air/fuel mixture tuning with O2 Sensor and Voltmeter
A few other options I was thinking of was removing the silencer and having another piece of straight through pipe with the O2 sensor socket on it that you just fit when tuning(if your neighbours can handle the noise)........or a piece that slips/screws into the inside of the very end of the pipe(may...

Re: Air/fuel mixture tuning with O2 Sensor and Voltmeter
You little rip snorter Sheddy, so it's that easy to do. Didn't think it was going to be rocket science. My idea of an exhaust extension was to get a piece of oval stainless steel tube the same size (preferably slightly larger) as the end pipe on the original exhaust, and put about 6 slots down it ab...

Re: Air/fuel mixture tuning with O2 Sensor and Voltmeter
AC Delco sensors are supposed to be better than Bosch ones from what I've read. We'll also need to have some idea what amps they run at too.So if it's 5 volts we're going to need something to give us that power when we use it. You haven't got a car with sensors in it mate that you could test? My &qu...

Re: Air/fuel mixture tuning with O2 Sensor and Voltmeter
set the mixture then remove all the bits? That's the objective mate. Sheddy!!! Ol' mate, ol' pal, ol' buddy, you have the tool required to help calibrate an O2 sensor! Before we go any further, and you waste some hard earned on destroying a sensor mate, read this page. http://www.aa1car.com/library...

Air/fuel mixture tuning with O2 Sensor and Voltmeter
From what I've found out about this, you get a 4 wire heated Oxygen sensor, hook the red and blue wires to the positive and negative on a 12 volt power source, and the 2 white wires to your volt/multimeter. From the reading on the meter you can then adjust your air fuel mixture to "stoich"...

Turned the air mixture screws out three turns(ended up putting them back to two and a half turns) and while my bike was off the road I replaced the stator and regulator/rectifier. http://www.carmoelectronics.com.au/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=23_1121_1129 They are a mosfet reg/rec and slight...

Re: Strange
I thought it was all about horsepower, and who really cares..........it's just "posing" anyway. May as well buy a metric cruiser and park out the front of cafes. Let me see you go through a round-about at full opposite lock and I might show you a lot more respect as a rider! Any monkey can...

Re: Bike not running properly again.
There are only 4 o-rings to replace when you do a carb rebuild. 14. One that seals the float bowl: Part no. 13258-33E00 21. One on the air/mixture screw Part No. 13295-29900 40. One on the choke holder/guide Part No. 13278-18E20 8. One that holds the main needle in place Part No. 09280-05004 (Suzuki...

Re: rear brakelight not working
If you go down to your friendly nut and bolt shop they will have a pitch gauge and will be able to check it for certain. A finer thread(smaller pitch) has less chance of coming undone.

Re: Engine Modifications done by Cagiva
Pulled the carbs off today, and gave them a good clean. Was a lot of gunk stuck behind the filter that lives under the float needle seat. Just gave it a good flush with carb cleaner. Set the air mixture screws to 1 1/2 turns out(as they were found, someone has had them out because the caps were alre...
