Throttle response

As I speak I am wondering where my dremel is. I will definitely be doing this!

Thanks Nick!

I replaced the Throttle Position Sensor for £12.59 and got rid of low speed glitches!

Btw how much was Suzuki prepared to stiff you for an OEM TPS? And it wouldn't surprise me to find it's the same factory in China that sells them on Amazon and also makes them for Suzuki. As you have found, OEM part is over £100! Whilst the replacement looks and measures exactly like the original I ...

Replace your Throttle Position Sensor for £12.59 and be rid of low speed glitches!

Brilliant fix: well done! Despite the modest change of the throttle ramp, I still wish I could get a more-progressive power delivery, even though it doesn't glitch at all. Has your new TPS made any difference there, do you think? Nick No the power delivery is still as brutal as ever! However I do t...

I replaced the Throttle Position Sensor for £12.59 and got rid of low speed glitches!

I have had my Raptor 1000 from new in 2003 and so I have a distant memory of what the low speed fueling was like. It used to be good. It used to be able to pootle along reasonably happily at 30 mph in 4th gear, at a steady 2000rpm or thereabouts and pull away smoothly from that RPM. That all changed...

Re: Throttle response

Just idly looking through old posts, and it seems Renegade Hippy* never got an answer to a query about the ProGrip 714 bar grips that work so well. They do come with blind ends which need to be opened to fit bar-end weights, and have double flanges on the inner end that may need trimming if the gri...

Re: Throttle response

Hi Nick I have performed this throttle mod on my 1000 and it works as expected. Thanks! I also purchased a pair of the Progrip 714 from M&P but I think I chose the wrong ones as they are intended for motocross and have closed ends and two flanges on the innermost end instead of one. Did you have...

Absolutely see your point Mike. But I couldn't find anywhere nearby and don't intend to keep the motor in stock tune or in a single step modified form either.... And I am looking forward to dabbling with it.

Teka SFI now ordered

Well I have now called Straightline Racing and placed an order for a Teka SFI box. The price is £374, which is a fairish translation of the USD price of $595. The guy said that this box is amazing and so easy to use. He said we used to use the arcaic Yoshimura box, but with the Teka you make adjustm...

Factory Pro "Teka SFI"

Does anyone here have any experience of the Factory Pro Teka SFI? I've only just discovered it today, having spend ages trying to find a Yoshi box dyno service near me. It looks wonderful and I am almost tempted to buy one outright and dabble myself. It is like a Yoshi box, but with *realtime adjust...
