Re: Flashing oil light and F1 in display

first ride out on the bike since the problem showed - full tank of fuel and the wynns dry fuel in, 80 miles, no fault showed on the dash.

hopefully that's the end of it,but will run the next tank through with the wynns in to make sure.

Re: Flashing oil light and F1 in display

If there's a lot of water it can mar the FI electrics at the base of the tank, so best to keep an eye on it even if the fuel dryer appears to fix the problem. back in the mistsOtime there was a thread with a pic of tank electrics with water/rust damage (I think the bike had been left over winter wi...

Re: Flashing oil light and F1 in display

I'd washed the bike recently - maybe water through the filler cap? bought some wynns dry fuel - thanks for the tip (£5.99 from halfords). will post when I've tried it out (moving house tho so may be a while :( ) maybe the oil light flashes as a warning, because it stops when you switch off/on again?...

Re: rear shock dimensions please?

Aye, just seen that Technoflex. If it had adjustable ride height it might've been worth a punt! One thing to consider is that you can always go for a longer shock - my 'Blade Maxton is set to 315mm with Bike Farm jack up plates fitted also (+25mm I think - I'll have to measure them sometime), so yo...

Re: rear shock dimensions please?

That drawing is rather useful! :) Which shock are you looking at? Chances are that someone may have tried it already and could let you know whether it's a simple fit and/or what would need to be done to make it fit if possible. was looking at a technoflex on fleabay. said it should fit an early bla...

Re: torque settings/ disc bolts

always bear in mind with tightening and torque figures, 50% of the tightening torque is lost in friction inside the thread and under the head, so a dry bolt will have less torque than an oiled or greased bolt for the same torque through the wrench IYSWIM. www.thefastenershop.com no guarantee inplied...

Re: front forks...

great advice thanks - been chatting with kev. maxton want about £500 to sort the forks so probably going to go down the R1 route, though I still have a ducati 620 race bike, and the forks look promising from that too,and use the same brembo calipers. forks bother me more than the shock ATM,though like...
