The forks are supposed to be Monster S4 but I doubt it. They are longer but with the rear jacked up should suit me as I am 6 foot. Darma heads every house should serve a bikers needs. The dining room was getting tired so a complete redesign was needed.Now before I diverse too much this thread is about the build so here's the mock up so far with the new forks which incidentally vat and import duty applies if a item is over £135.

Yes 22mm now that was only the start when the table smashed the bike headed straight for the patio doors. This was 2008 in 2007 we did a 7 week tour of Europe on it with no issues. I took have just retired Nov last year I think I have just spent my pension on forks from Italy vat import duty and to top it of I had to register with HMRC as a importer to get them released. Ah well they nearly fit :shock: I like to do all the work myself on my projects but this time I don't think...

big thanks to Nick ST4 for a nice shiny shock progress is being made now the headlamp rim is going to be shown up. At least the wheel spindles are pickling nicely. As for the new forks customs have taken over from the DVLA as my new spanner in the works :duel:

I have sourced a new upgraded adjustable set still boxed in Italy they are on their way . Assuming I will have to pay vat and import duties they are still the cheapest option even more so as will have a very good left leg to sell . This will be the 3rd raptor I have owned the first being new in 2002...

Yesterday My mate and I separated the fork ( he is a Mechanical engineer ) I am just a 66 year old apprentice well we knackered it !
I had to drill out the grub screw and I must have left a bit of swarf in and it picked up on the thread in the alloy thread of the knuckle
