Re: What did you do to your Raptor today

Guess what I did? Managed to ride it for a change!! Weather down here in Cornwallshire has been fairly crap up till now, but today it was fine and dry. With work till lunchtime and the start of the easter tourists arriving and clogging up the roads it was a no brainer! Bloody 'ansome, even got both ...

Re: Aftermarket exhausts

Just goes to show how no two bikes are the same! When I fitted the MTC cans to my bike, the fuelling was ok, not to say a remap wouldn't have made the fuelling better, but she was ok as she was, infact, I have fitted a k&n filter now and it's still running fine! When the weather improves, I will...

Re: Speedo Error!!

Now that picture is what I call "making progress"!! Been out on mine again & am giving it the extra 10% on the speedo, that's much more like it! Still gonna get the speedo healer at some time tho' On a different note, what's the highest indicated speeds you lot out there have ever seen...

Re: Speedo Error!!

Hmm, bit odd this! Just checked my bike again, 16 tooth front sprocket, 40 teeth on the rear, rear tyre 180/55/17 michelin pilot 2ct that has only done about 500 miles so everything is bog standard, but speedo is 10% out!! Any ideas? At the end of the day i'm not that bothered 'cos a speedo healer w...

Speedo Error!!

Since i've owned my Raptor I've been a bit suspicious as to how accurate the speedo is. On many occasions, I have been going along on the A30 dual carriageway at an indicated 70mph, (the odd time i've been behaving!!), and have what seems to be everyone and his uncle come by!! Now I know these days ...

Re: Round Britain Rally 2012

Just been looking at your pictures, well done! I wish I had the time to do something like that!
If I had known you were going to be down my neck of the woods, (Cornwall), I would have liked to cheer you on your way, not only that, it would be nice to see another rappy in the area!

Re: A (Graffic!!) Cautionary Tale!!

I hate to say this Mark, but the love handle strap that you are using is exactly what failed with my mate and his son!! Dirty Dogs idea of using one with the clip at the back is a brilliant solution! So simple!!

Re: A (Graffic!!) Cautionary Tale!!

Got an update as to what caused my mates lad to come off. Apparently, it wasn't the grab rail that broke, they were using what I seem to remember is called a Pillion Pal, the strap with handles that the rider wears and the pillion holds on to the handles, this either came unclipped or snapped, not s...

A (Graffic!!) Cautionary Tale!!

I know we've all done it, but this should make you think!! A workmate of mine decided to go for a blast down the A30 in Cornwall yesterday (Sunday), with his grown up son as pillion. Down near Hayle, by the Roseworthy Dip, my mate slowed down for the 60mph speed camera, then wacked the throttle open...

Spark Plugs

Hi,

Does anyone have any experience as to whether Iridium spark plugs are worth the extra money? The Rappy is due a service shortly and was wondering if they make any difference or are just another gimmick!

Cheers,

What a day!!!

Last week, a couple of mates that I hadn't seen for years, decided to spend a weeks holiday at Weston-super-Mare. A look at the map showed that all that seperated us from a bit of a reunion, was several miles of A39 Atlantic Highway, a road that runs all the way up the North Cornwall and North Devon...

Hi Dizzyblonde
