Cheap RAPTOR 1000 for sale!
Hi folks, Does anyone on here want my 2001 Rap 1000 I have owned and used and enjoyed almost daily since 2012? Before I ebay it. A couple of years ago I lost my garage so the old girl has been out in all weathers since then. Good points: Engine still strong and pulls like a train. Hagon rear shock d...

Re: rear brakelight not working .. 1000
Mine recently failed mot on back brake light. Went all round the houses to get a new one, only to find P&H m/c in Crawley keep them on the shelf @ £15 approx. Its 10mm thread x 1 mm pitch. same switch is fitted to lots of Brembo clad(?) bikes and they keep them because they are a multi franchise...

Re: New Bike
Very nice, my mate with whom I share a lock-up sold his TL1000 (it scared him once too often!) and now has just bought an 06 one of those. He says the same as you re: needing louder pipes. Vance & hines apparently do them. Also a k&n air filter should help. Nice bike to ride- even for a 6'3&...

I believe early R1 forks or Aprilia Falco ones are quite common upgrades. Should be a thread on here somewhere

Re: Need to do some fixing..
Hi G3ting, I used to have a bike painting business & I think you already have all the info most bodyshops would need. I always used ICI paints, but the ppg codes will all cross reference with whatever mixing scheme your painter uses. Good luck

Re: Can an alternative bike radiator fit?
Just a thought. As most sports bikes have curved rads (albeit concave when looking from the front) would it not be just a matter of going to a large breakers like D&K spares and find one with similar dimensions that could be fitted 'backwards? There may even be one with similar bracketry, but if...

Re: A (Graffic!!) Cautionary Tale!!
Poor guy, hope he recovers quickly. Round here, this year particularly, i've seen quite a few guys in t shirts/shorts on Fireblades and the like. Obviously they've never come across gravel rash! My boy injured himself quite badly last year when his 'blade spat him off on a diesel covered junction in...

Re: END of the road and a dream .....
Good luck, hope you get the money you want. Sounds well worth it to me. As someone who (fortunately) has recovered from illness and still riding, I can understand what you must be feeling-I wasn't sure if i'd be on the road again after my heart op, but all seems well now. All the best for the future...

Yoshi (again!)
Hi all, don't suppose anyone has an adapter cable for a yoshi box? My local dealer has the box but not the required cable. If I could borrow one it would be great, but will buy one if anyone has one or knows where such a thing can be bought. Alternatively, does anyone know of a workshop in the south...

Re: Aftermarket exhausts
Standard cans seem to make next to nothing on ebay, so it may be worth getting a set for MOT purposes. V Force cans are pretty loud, but carry a BS mark. Just had MOT so won't be sure till next year if they'll pass.
