Re: Yoshi box or power commander?
PCII = cheaper (ca. 300 EUR), more adjusteability, online community to get knowledge and maps yosh box = stays off the bike, so no extra weight, wires, stuff on your bike. Cheap yosh box clones can be found (60 EUR instead of 600 EUR) to solve the expensiveness issue ;) PCII is probably the best opt...

Re: Hydraulic clutch
i think so yes, i'm not 100% positive though... of course a cable clutch is fixeable on the side of the road, but i'd rather just roll on, not worrying if i have brought the right tools or not...or being on time or not  i replaced 2 clutch cables in the egyptian desert at 40+°C...i can tell you...

Re: Hydraulic clutch
things won't go that fast Phil  most riders prefer cable clutches for god knows what reason. check out www.tlzone.net for TLR items...you might be lucky. for tourers, commuters, and big mileage eaters in general, there's only one option, and that is hydra :) 8) i've had more than a few clutch c...

Re: Hydraulic clutch
just had a little checkup.
the pushrod is the same as the TL1000R pushrod...so chances are getting bigger.

Re: Hydraulic clutch
just had a look on ronayers.com it seems that the SV650 uses a similar system as the TLS for cable clutch. It also has a worm drive which pushes a pushrod into the engine casings. With a bit of luck, the TLR slave cylinder might fit the SV650 wormdrive-bolt-holes...fabbing up a sprocket cover, or mo...

Re: Gaskets/seals
it's almost certainly the one gasket between the rear header and midpipe, right next to the shock, almost invisible because of the swingarm. very handy to wrench there  Cagiva ones are indeep deeper than TLS ones...maybe that's why TLS ones blow faster? (snap, i have never changed any other ga...

Re: Gaskets/seals
i've got the same experience snap.
My TLS exhaust gasket lasted only a couple of months. She is popping and backfiring and generally making a hellish racket again, after i duno, 10.000kms or so...
gonna go with cagiva gasket now. (official dealer)
good luck,
jan

Re: I will be cheating on my missus soon...
oh, and i treated my rappy to some new GPR exhaust endcaps! went from the streetlegal endcaps (with non-removeable db killers) to full-on race endcaps. Mannnnnnn what a difference! it sounds like an animal again, and it pulls way harder than before. :) i really don't want to sell this bike, it's jus...

Re: I will be cheating on my missus soon...
yeah, i think of the superduke as the 'KTM raptor'....it is almost identical: radical looks, great V-twin performance in a naked hooligan bike ...but i wanted something different 8) YES i'm going all out and i'm fitting the full titanium Akrapovic Evolution system (Ti headers, Ti cans). FI will be a...

I will be cheating on my missus soon...
Yeah, i've decided the old rappy gets a baby sister. i testrode a KTM 990 SM-T last week and i'm sold. Same power, maybe a tad more torque down low. Fantastic brakes, best brakes i've ever felt on a bike. Perfect suspension. Great ergo's and practicality. 2-up traveling ability...the very one thing ...

Re: Tank Slappers
i've only replaced the rear spring by a hyperpro unit, and otherwise stock bike, and i have never had any shakes or 'starting shakes'... :?: if anything i think this bike is really stable for a 1000cc naked hooligan bike...i ride on concrete highways (bumpy) at 120mph with only one hand at the bars ...

Re: Anybody fitted other wheels to their steeds?
good info mate, thanks for that. have cruised the web all this time, but haven't found anything suitable or affordable yet... probably going to try to dismantle the rap next weekend for paintjob, powdercoating etc...man i've been too busy  PS so aprilia fronts are fairly easy to adapt, but for...
