Re: It's done...for now
Just my opinion it would look better for the inspection as well instead of looking like it came straight from an accident . They might consider those pieces cut like that dangereous, i might be wrong . The hangers were the stock type, will try to find the link . Trouble is, if I cut them off there,...

Re: It's done...for now
Yeah if your not planning on two up you could chop those triangles down nice and neat , and maybe polish them  or something like that also there's a couple of hangers on italy ebay somewhere. Is it the Pedane arretrate ones? If so, do they fit well? I've just had a look and they're the cheap...

Re: It's done...for now
Well, that was a bust  They need a "modification approval" because of the mods I've done. That's gonna take a week at least as I have to fill it out and send it in. No online option for this one, I'm afraid. Oh well, I had a blast riding it around on a permit today so all is not los...

It's done...for now
Well, I've spent the last few days madly painting to get the Rap ready for licensing. It's booked in tomorrow to get inspected and rego'd as it was accident damaged when I bought it. I had replaced all the bent and broken bits and modified the bits I can't buy anymore so there was just the panel/pai...

Re: Is my bike too old?
Mate, I've just updated my ride to an 01 Rappy!! I just spent two years and $4000 on my 89 Ducati Paso that had done 56000kms and was not serviced by the previous owner for 37000kms and parked outside needless to say it needed basically a ground up rebuild. Any bike that was made in 2000 or later is...

Re: New member V Raptor 1000
Ooh a V, welcome aboard! I think the Perth subchapter (paragraph?) is probably the busiest at the moment - see http://www.raptorchapter.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=4330 - you'll notice we need a V to complete the set! There's also another Xtra in town, but our meets have seen rain so she's bail...

Re: Will Honda VTR dash fit?
Yes Norrie, I agree. Will be doing the screen option me thinks. Thanks Spyke, I've PM'd you. Thanks for the tip Ozz. The seat is in at Scott's Trimmers now and should be ready when I get back. I'm hoping the job will be as good. I'll post some pics in another thread when it's all done in a few weeks...

Re: Will Honda VTR dash fit?
Hi Spyke, Yes I am a member of DOCWA, I was invited to join by Ted. I seldomn go on rides though as I work away FIFO so my breaks only line up with 50% of the rides. Also I find it verrry hard to get out of bed at the sparrows fart on a Sunday to go for a 'brekky ride' I normally like to ride...

Re: Will Honda VTR dash fit?
G'day fellas, Firstly Miz, thankyou for your generous offer but I will be making it into a retro cafe racer long term. I bought it for this sole reason because of its frame and engine. Ozzraptor, I'm in Perth mate, the bike came from Queensland, I believe (it was last registered there) The SV dash s...

Will Honda VTR dash fit?
Hi all, I've just put some money on the bar so if you missed the shout go next door and have one on me! I've recently acquired an accident damaged V Raptor 1000 and will be bringing it back to life as a naked bike for now and maybe a cafe racer as a winter project next year (we'll see what the finan...

New member V Raptor 1000
Hi all "A ROUND FOR THE BAR PLEASE BARKEEP" I've just bought an accident damaged V Raptor 1000 and will be bringing it back to life over the next few months or sooner. It looks like it was well looked after until the stack occurred. The front fairing on the right side was damaged so I will...
