Andy, Congrats on the retirement. Now you can really get busy! Re colour schemes for your trusty steed; I though you'd called it/him Reggie? Surely something dignified is needed to go with that title? Roxie sounds more appropriate for what you have in mind! I'm 2 weeks into retirement and ha...

Good Lord! that's what you call rust... I must admit I'm keeping a close eye on this thread because I've recently retired and when I get settled & sorted I'm gonna be stripping and rebuilding the old boy. He deserves it after 6 years & ~60k miles of commuting. I'm presently idly musing on po...

Long time no see !.

Yo! yep touring & big miles is certainly possible on the raptor. The motor is so strong and provides for real easy speed. The only possible downside is luggage carrying capacity. If you going to move to somewhere on the coast beware of the salty air cus they do rot worse than an 1980s Austin Mae...

Wanted raptor 1000 parts

Darn it... I suspect many hours will be burnt scouring the web for parts... and if they are difficult/expensive perhaps changing the whole front end may be the way to go. I see this guy, in Germany, has a couple of complete fork legs at 200 sovs per side  plus other Raptor stuff - remember so...

Oo I don't know... it does look to be all there although there appears not to be a radiator. It all depends on what your expectations where when you first bought it... everything is possible with time, money & intent. And when did financial sense be a concern where enjoyment is concerned? Frames...

Wanted raptor 1000 parts

Forklegs in decent condition are tough to find now & buying new may be the answer. 6 months or so back I bought a a pair of complete forklegs from a DUtch breakers & they were in excellent condition. But they where the only ones available at that time. In the lower caliper hangers etc are in...

Wanted Standard Raptor Parts

Aha! I see they have carbon parts for both the side panels and underseat panels. They're not cheap mind but still cheaper than scanning & 3D printing. Has any one used these guys & can recommend them? I'm thinking the OP may be looking for the complete rear mudguard assembly that contains th...

Indicator parts.

I have a feeling that pretty much all of the body parts, for the Raptor & V, are pretty much unobtainium I'm afraid. I'm at the cusp of a full resto/refurb of the old gal & I spend some time cruising the web looking for such parts and have never come across any at all.... I'm think for the r...
