New Chain Time

Also need some inputs here while still in the subject of chains. I'm in a bit of a dilemma as to which chain & sprocket sizes would be optimal since my bike's had quite a few mods in the rear (a single-side swingarm, for one). The existing combination are 530 chains + 45 rear sprockets + 15 fron...

About time too!

Trevor68 wrote: 1 year ago Yes it was good, I stapled it over the original cover.
Thanks, mate. Much like Nick's concerns I'm thinking about taking the whole seat for some added cushions at a local custom shop then add the top to make it even more plush.

An investment maybe?

Not sure if it's relevant, but with Suzuki soon to replace the SV650 with a parallel twin engine, expect these babies (the 1000s included) to become more of a cult bike especially among mature riders who appreciate these very reliable V-twins. My guess, anyway.

this is the cover I used, quite happy with how it turned out. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/234664512401?hash=item36a3184b91:g:bqgAAOSwIaxhjk8S&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAsCV0VYtOpfQVM%2FymMfZiuo%2BEHuxiA0uxTwALVVkseH7DXhJxUV6yNVFQz5TxmDcZ5VmZxQh7BN7aYVHK5UaVIXXpeTu5KNC8hDQeD%2ByHchHr%2Bl0GJRe6h0xEBo7G...

What did you do to your Raptor today

Took her on some downtime to work on a few stuffs: 1. Complete rearsets & exhaust brackets, handlebar + top clamp, mirrors, and brake pedal taken for vapor blast rejuvenation - so fresh and so clean! 294651417_558904602540797_2670386871294693177_n.jpg 294589558_818740206166437_328254927033188579...

New Pics of my 650ie - nicknamed "Jessica"

All this naming is very weird to me. I always thought people who named their transport did so to feel more comfortable because they hadn't got a clue about mechanical things and were rather frightened by them! My cars and bikes, despite my great appreciation of them, only get called by their make o...

New Pics of my 650ie - nicknamed "Jessica"

Yes, as you might've guessed it I'm that dude who names his rides (and pretty much anything with sentimental attachment). I named my 650 "Jessica" after the Japanese - 1/3rd Italian model Jessica Michibata, so the mix-race reference for me is perfetta! I had her amidst the early stage of t...

Beginning of the Beginning!

People are welcome to contribute if they wish. I have done some rough math and figure $100 AUD will be ample to renew the four domains and cover my hosting costs. I was thinking about maybe just letting the other domains (.com, .co.uk & .uk) expire and just keep this one (.org.uk) but we can ta...

We are moving! Site downtime.

Sadly no, the Raptor needs tyres and I had other sadder duties yesterday, as a friend passed away a few weeks back. I rode a VFR750 for many years, and the ozvfr crew are very tight, so our christmas was a bit shattered. In fact it is myself and said vfr leading in this video we made as a tribute t...

Re: Beginning of the end

Truly sorry to hear that but allow me to thank everyone here for being so welcoming and resourceful especially for us living outside the UK.

I would be more than willing to pitch in with cost of hosting, if it's decided to continue this forum through another domain. Thank you once again, folks.

Re: How many on the road are on here

Not sure if overseas Raptors count (Indonesia), but I still ride my ie 2-3 times week. :D

We had one authorized Cagiva dealer from early 2000's 'til about 10 years ago but best to my knowledge only around 5 1000s and 3 650ies are on the road here.

Thanks for letting me join  Bought this a few weeks back, and have been through it to sort a few issues. Loving the light handling, and very good on smooth roads or at speed! https://db3pap003files.storage.live.com/y4mt70GmdfGrkr81l-ShZiSTsWiKnvecAYRpqclVhOLIcO5JTAez-F9975Pq7szNb3aJ5gz_Kr...

Re: Greetings from Jakarta!

So while doing some regular TLC and clutch work, after further examination it appears I have in my hand a "Rapterstein" (see pictures). I discovered that the swingarm actually came off from a 2007 Triumph Speed Triple 1050 fitted with a Honda RC36 (VFR750F) wheel. The rear shock housing fr...
