Original OEM chain should be an Italian "Regina" chain - have had no problems with mine at all - done 10k and still going strong. Have got another OEM chain sat in the garage from another later Xtra Raptor, this chain is not branded at all, so suspect that they switched to cheaper chains. ...

V-Raptor also has seat cowl / cover - but if the rear luggage carrier is designed to fit over this cover in situ', then it will also fit over the standard seat of the Normale (Naked) Raptor, and the uncovered seat of the V ????

You could try reversing the order mate. Put boots, ear plugs and helmet with black visor on first. (suggest you also put your trousers on, but we all know how tough you Aussies are !!!!!!) I had sort of the same problem with mine, took ages to get the cans to sit somewhere near equal, but not perfect, and at the standard 450mm'ish they were too long as they stuck out from the back of the bike. Thought about fastening a old rag onto the end of them, a la builder..... Luckily Quill are ...
