Running issues

Hi guys my xraptor has been running odd. when travelling at 130 Kay and pinning the bike I am getting splatter and slight loss in power . Very frustrating. My mechanic has checked all electrics and says they are fine. He has changed the fuel filter and even checked the fuel line pressures. Last thin...

Re: Spluttering and poping over 7 to 8000 rpm

I am going to purchase a fuel filter later today for the bike. I believe it's the same as the filter used on the TLR engine one.

If this does not work I will send it to my mechanic to check it out.

Re: Spluttering and poping over 7 to 8000 rpm

I have also noticed that when you are in 2nd gear all the way to 6th gear, if you give the bike full throttle in these gears above 5 to 6k the bike also splutters......

Any ideas?

Spluttering and poping over 7 to 8000 rpm

Hi Guys, Quick note. Am noticing when riding that when I take the bike up to 7000 or 8000 rpm a splutter in the rev range. 1st gear seems fine, it's more noticeable in the other gears. I have been looking at past posts to find answers, but could not find anyone that had experienced the same issues. ...

Re: Rear Wheel Bearing Numbers

Thanks for the comments, I have also taken a look on the net at vidoe's that also show how-to with motorcycle bearing replacement. Pretty much the same as your comments. You tube has one vid that was good. I work for a tool company and will most probably purchase a bearing removal tool and special d...

Raptor 1000 Left Engine cover center nut oil leak

Hi guys, had a persistent oil leak from the nut in the center of the LHS engine cover. Had replaced the rubber seal with no joy, and could not find a way to stop the oil from leaking. Comes out that a company called three bond creates a product that won't damage the rubber seal, can handle the heat ...

Re: thrapped Sump Plug

I torque mine to 23 Nm newton meters which is enough. Old style would be finger tight then quarter turn..... I also bought an aftermarket sump plug from the us which was a god send. It also came with a bigger magnet to capture any impurities in your oil. The washers also have a rubber seal which has...
