Re: Raptor article in the Rider's Digest

Old Sodom Lane and Sodom Lane (see new pic) are in the village of Dauntsey, Wilts. They don't lead to Gomorrah but somewhere much worse - the M4!

Raptor article in the Rider's Digest

I know one of our big gripes is that Raptors never feature in the biking Press but I've done something about it and written an article for the Rider's Digest. Some of you may remember the print version of the Digest but it went bust last September (no bad thing as it had become 'mainstream' pap) and...

Re: Still here and looking for a grab rail...

:D Hello Snaps! Yes, good to be back on the chapter; must remember to pipe up more often rather than just reading stuff... The Ventura rail is not what I'm after because, exactly as you say, it's part of a system and I want to keep my other arrangements for luggage. I've seen a simple black tu...

Still here and looking for a grab rail...

Apologies for appearing to drift away for so long; I log on fairly often for a mosey but haven't seemed to write anything... Actually, am having too much fun riding the bike. Back brake all sorted now; got a new caliper for £13 off ebay. Was originally on a Ural and is dark grey rather than gold. Lo...

No part number needed, just ring them and tell them the details of the bike.

Re: Iridium plugs - any good or waste of money? Ditto K&N...

OK, so Iridium it is! As the current plugs are well past their smell-by date I'm expecting a boost in starting and overall zip anyway. I have a DRz engine in my CCM 404 so I might just bung one in there too!

Cheers, Peeps!

Re: Still Looking Too Good

Talking of crampy legs, has anyone tried any of the various adjustable footpegs out there in Pricyblingaddonsland?

Re: have a drink on me

Ditto all that! New puppy and test matches in Oz keeping me awake all night... and wife's flu finally caught up with me! (funny, usual references to 'man-flu' strangely absent since she got it first... :haha: )

Re: Iridium plugs - any good or waste of money? Ditto K&N...

Okay... that's interesting. Fausto reckons his K&N was no better or worse than the original (separate thread) so I guess the iridium plugs make all the difference... or has anyone done just the filter?

Iridium plugs - any good or waste of money? Ditto K&N...

Time to change the plugs on the ol' 650. So, are these iridium chaps actually any better than ordinary ones or is it all sales 'bollo'?

Ditto K&N air filters...?

Would be grateful for any feedback before shelling out.

Happy New Year BTW

Waterproof rucksack - Xmas deal

Great Xmas deal on these waterproof rucksacks. I've had one for a couple of years and they are perfect for biking; just the right size and completely waterproof. They're also really well made and tough. Mine survived my 'off' when the myopic farmer smidsy'd me with just a few abrasions and a small h...
