Re: carbon rap

I know I've got no taste but I like chrome. Not so keen on dull black though....

Overall I definitely like it  .

Re: Home maintainence was never easier

All the pics that I've seen show the bike stand on the same side as the sidestand. Looking at the pics though, it looks like the beam that locates the rear fixing strap will go either side of the stand so I'm sure that it would work from the other side of the bike. As I say, I think that this would ...

Re: Home maintainence was never easier

But but but....!! Does it work on the other side of the bike? In other words, can you load it from the other side to the side stand which would make it a lot easier and safer to attach to the bike I would have thought. I suppose it depends on whether the beam that holds the swing arm strap can be im...

Re: Difficulty finding the right bike.

Agree that mint red Raptors are the best.

Scruffy red ones like mine are second best. :)

Really tidy Raps keep on cropping up. You could always get one and paint it red.

Re: How many miles/klms on yor raptor!

Bought - Nov 2009 Miles then - 10,500 Miles now - 34,500 I was the third owner. It has been my only bike until August this year though I drive a car for the most part, including the commute to work. I intend to run it as a Summer only bike now so it won't be racking up the miles at the same rate any...

Re: Where have they all gone?

I was up at the Tan Hill Inn a couple of years ago (this is the highest pub in England) and saw a big bunch of vintage bikes there. Half were British or European but a good proportion of them were Indians. Got chatting to a couple of blokes and it turns out that most were from Australia. They'd ship...

Re: Bar is Open...

Cheers Shebee! Got out myself today. Went to the seaside - sunny Filey if you've heard of it. 'Twere indeed a most pleasant day. Wasn't on the Rappy though; I wimped out and went on my Winter BMW, the one with the little fairing and the heated grips to keep that nasty cold weather at bay. Relatively...

Re: Where have they all gone?

Still sounds better than what I do. That Indian looks really good actually. Most old bikes (and new Harleys) seem to be full of nuts and bolts and brackets, linkages and lugs. That one looks like it could have just rolled off the line at Victory or somewhere that manufactures 'custom' bikes. It has ...

Scum of the Earth

Just remembered when fumbling with my smart phone today that I have an app for VisorDown magazine so I decided to while a way a few minutes checking out what has been going on in the world of biking. Well it turns out that some insurance company has done a survey of bike owners. Apparantly Ducatis a...

Re: Where have they all gone?

So lets get this right.... Your job involves riding $73.000 motorcycles up and down the sunny western coast of Australia and delivering them to delighted new owners :o . My job is a little more humdrum than that. Glad you managed to get it there in one piece anyway. I have fond memories of a rather ...

Re: A near miss

Glad you stayed upright.

I don't have much problem with cats but for some reason I seem to attract (feathery) birds. The amount that fly or walk out in front of me is ridiculous. I've hit a few over the last couple of years. Biggest was a Heron. :o

Hi Dave. Glad you chose the Rap over the Monster. It is more exclusive, but doesn't feel particularly exotic. It's just a damn good bike. Hope you enjoy your new bike for a long time to come.

Glad someone's enjoying some sunshine and a well sorted Rap. Hopefully I'll be enjoying both in a few months too.

Until then... :cold:
