The Scotland trip pictures are just gratuitus pictures of my Raptor :-)

When we go to Scotland we just keep an eye on the weather and Go, you can't really plan, if its goign to be nice for the week then we are off. This year with all that is happening we saw an opportunity for four days, Friday to Monday weekend of the 18th September, the weather was perfect 21 degrees as was Scotland and its Roads, can't wait to get a longer break in the weather and do the 500.

Andy the trick with Scotland is not to book a fixed date, you just have to be flexible and go threre for long 4 or 5 day weekends, but only when the weather is nice. I have been too many times when it's not and its awful

I think Scottish people must be very thick-skinned! Of course, they've had to live conjoined with the the rest of the UK for a very long time, so it would be no surprise. Midges are the main reason that Scots have Scotland largely to themselves.
