LED headlight bulbs in H4

Post by nickst4 »

Just a heads-up for those who want to change to a brighter, more-visible light. LED bulbs have come a long way and the latest I've seen and bought are these:

The difference, apart from canbus compatibility which doesn't concern Raptors, is that there are four radial COB emitters giving a very much better spread of light output that resembles a halogen filament, for which all our headlamp optics were originally designed. Hopefully, that means no tweaking of the bulb position to get the proper beam pattern. So far, the bulb works very well in my 'new' Ducati HyperStrada. As with all the best LEDs, this one has fan-cooling so clearance may be an issue, but the result is worth a bit of butchery!
