wiring diagram and indicators

Post by Trigger »

Can anyone help with a wiring diagram for a 650ie, the one in the back of my handbook has disintegrated !!
I have a problem with the indicators not working and I'm not sure which is the appropriate relay, or a fuse if any.
They were, but now they are not, just when i need an MOT. I could take them off and revert to hand signals I suppose.
Any help appreciated
Thanks Trigger

When you operate the switch can you hear the relay clicking on/off?
Are they standard indicators with bulbs or led replacement type?
The indicator relay is under the seat i think?

Workshop manual in Italian is here raptorgarage.altervista.org/wp-content/ ... r650ie.zip
Wiring diagram is on page 381.

Flasher relay will be under the seat on the right side(when sitting on the bike)

A standard 2 pin car one will do the same job. Put the indicators on and give it a "bump", if it then flashes, it is faulty.

This is a pic from my carby 650, but should be in the same place, and shows the 2 pin plug, this pic was taken during dismantling.

M
any thanks guys, They are standard indicators. I'll check the relay now I know where it is.
I didn't here any 'clicking' but then I'm pretty deaf and don't wear my aids in the garage so I can't hear my wife asking me to do whatever!!
I'll also visit that Italian site.

You don't need your hearing aids, you've clearly got a bad case of industrial ignorance, usually mistakenly diagnosed as industrial deafness, one is a choice, one isn't :lightfart: Let us know how you go mate, here
to help as much as we can.
