Looking for grey headlight shrowd and a pair of standard exhaust!

Post by HOBO4 »

Hi

Thanks for having me on forum.

I have just bought my Cagiva raptor 1000 from my Dad but it's missing the headlight shrowd and it has really loud mivv titanium exhausts.

I'm looking to put it back to standard can any one help.

G'day HOBO4,
I have a pair (left & right) of brand new unused OEM pipes if you are interested.
I'm in the land of Oz, so it depends on freight if it is worth your while.
Drop me a line and take it from there.
Cheers

Here you go these guys have sets of Raptor & V Raptor oem exhausts https://www.boonstraparts.com/en/parts/ ... or%201000/

100 or 75 euros - I believe there's no difference between the two models. I've used Boonstra parts before & they've always been good.

Not sure why you want to go back to standard mind as the Mivvs look good to me (and no doubt weigh substantially less). Do they have their db killers fitted? if not it might be worth thinking about just buying a set for them.

Cheers Andy for link.

The mivv cans are to loud and you can't fit dB killers as there is no hole to screw in.

I would like to try and put the bike as close to standard as possible.

One important thing to notice is the mufflers have a bracket welded to the link pipe near to the union with the down pipes. This allows it to be bolted, through a rubber bush, to a bracket welded to the frame to take up any vibration. Unfortunately these are a weak point & both sides on mine have snapped.

And if you look closely the cheaper muffler doesn't have these brackets either.

Thanks Andy I think I'm going to keep the mivv cans and just sort the front out.
