It looks stunning!
Just a question, why or for what do you need it to be revalved?

Whoever owned the forks must have had them setup for a track bike, as it is way too firm for general road riding and my 75 kg of weight. I will get lighter springs fitted and if need be revalved to suit while it is in the shop.

That’s probably what’s happened.
I have same forks using them just as they are and they works just perfect on my bike with my 76kg on.
The only thing I have been struggling a bit is the rear before I fitted a Öhlins

Finally all sorted. fitted 0.9 springs, 5 wt oil and revalved, tapered steering head bearings and finally fitted the new rear linkage bearings.

Rides better than new now :D

Goodo, glad it all worked out :happyhappy:

In response to some of the questions/comments about springs etc.
When GSXR k4 forks are used, they need to have the springs replaced with a heavier spring because the Gixxer is a lot lighter than the Raptor.

My forks were set up by Terry Hay of shock treatment (they do the set up for Australian Superbikes) with new springs/gold valves etc to suit my weight (my bike must think 'get off me fatso'!), the bikes weight, riding ability and road conditions etc.
The new front end is streets ahead of the original set up.

So when it comes down to it, there's a bit involved to getting it right and it pays to have someone who knows what they are doing to set the forks up to your individual needs.

Stay upright

Cheers

This is what swayed me to go with the Matris cartridges. Perhaps not as good as a bespoke set up but certainly much easier to install over a single weekend.

I have bought some second hand standard Cartridges for £19(being the tight fisted person i am) and will attempt one of the two upgrade options i have read about, add it to the winter bike work!

Just took a photo of what I’m preparing.
Trying to source 320mm rotors.

Oooh looks great, let me know if you figure out 320mm rotors, as I think that would allow us to use Brembo calipers?

Those R6/R1 I believe are Brembo. But you’re right, could get proper brembo ones. But they ain’t cheap!

What ones are in the photo? I used K4 1000 Tokitos

I recently replaced the K4 master cylinder with a Brembo 19 RCS.
